Akobo Minerals names former CEO Johan Sjöberg as Chief Exploration Manager
Akobo Minerals announces that Johan Sjöberg will rejoin the company as Chief Exploration Manager on the 1st of May. Johan was previously CEO of Akobo Minerals from 2018 to 2020, so he has very good knowledge of the project and our organization. Lately he has been working as a Geologist consultant for EMX in Sweden, managing their exploration activities with several drill rigs and teams in operation. He has vast experience from managing exploration projects, and also relevant competence from the mining sector.

Johan has a wide experience from the mining and exploration industry most recently working as senior exploration geologist for gold in the Gold Line, northern Sweden for EMX Royalty Corp and partners. Previous experience includes Chief Geologist at Nickel Mountain Resources and several senior geology roles including mine geologist and near mine exploration geologist at the Svartliden gold mine in the northern Sweden.
Johan is a senior exploration geologist trained at Uppsala University in Sweden as well as at Rhodes University in Grahamstown, South Africa.
